GFS MUCKS THINGS UP

GFS had an interesting solution for Alex today - bringing the storm into the Northern Gulf, right through the oil patch.  All the other model solutions show a Mexico or TexMex landing.  Gentlemen (and ladies) start your engines?

I see the latest from the NHC stays with the sharp, left turn. Hard to argue with that analysis, but I see they now have it becoming a hurricane much sooner over the Bay of Campeche, so I hope it's forward motion doesn't slow down so much that the large trough forming over the eastern US doesn't influence Alex too much! - HLG
