Bertha was just the latest:
It was a TS when forecast to maybe become one,
Then it was a strong TS when forecast to make weak TS,
Hurricane when .... TS,
and now finally,
MAJOR FREAKING HURRICANE, when forecast for days to max out at maybe a weak 2!
What give?

I think they use Capt. Nicole's color scheme to denote intensity forecasts. If Nicole is wearing blue - TS. If Nicole is wearing pink - Cat 1. If Nicole is wearing red - Cat 3.
Anyway, why would you ask since you went behind the scenes to see their forecasting techniques? Do they use a roulette wheel?
