Time to Put-up on "Bill" Forecast

Simple survey time Weather Studs and Babe("s", if we could ever get more than one babe!)

Will "Bill" strike the mainland US? (PR Doesn't count).

If your answer is yes, will it be

A) Major Hurricane

B) Minor Hurricane (whatever that is, but for sake of arguement Cat 1 or 2)

C) TS or Less

My vote is "Bill" will not hit the mainland US. - HLG

I too vote that Bill will not be a threat to the US mainland.

How about bets as to whether Bermuda will tak a direct hit or a glancing blow.

Ok, I'll go out on a limb. Most of the models tonight are showing the Bermuda High building - keeping Bill off towards the west. I'd be a little worried if I lived in Charleston right now. One model (CMC) shows a major hurricane coming at New York city.

So, I'll be a stud (and give HLG fodder to hit me with latter this week) and will say that it will hit Cape Hatteras as a Cat 4 storm.

Not like Hot Lava Girl has anything else to do but blog all day ...

I think Buoy Boy has an unfair advantage.

BTW, I like the Google Earth interface that the NDBC has now ... 'cept it is a little slow for those of us who like instant gratification. I did notice that data is kinda sparse in the NE Gulf though. What's up with that?

KF, we can't all be critically important civil servants in very, very, very important meetings all day long. Some of us are simply chained to our PCs and Smartphones, where we like to break the day up with meaningless weather blogs. :)

Critically important civil servant???? You must have me confused with Buoy Boy!!!

I'm just the lowly Program Manager being sent to a meaningless meeting in Monterey and REALLY looking forward to the long drive from San Jose to the peninsula.

BTW, have you seen the NDBC web site??? Much better than in years past, but it does have a bit of a performance issue ...

You cracked me up KF, but thanks for the morning yuks. Gotta have those some days. We really do have a minimum of meetings here, but that often means I have less idean than normal what is going on!
