Climatological Surge Potential for Texas

The current NHC forecast track, and historical runs of the SLOSH model currently warn that somewhere between Freeport and Galveston, TX, if the track/intensity are good, there will be a surge between 15-20 feet over a large area. This is a deadly surge scenario, and hopefully people in that very low area (remember Galveson has over 50,000 people living on a sandbar) get out early!
