So three consecutive runs of GFS now have Fay stalling after passge over FL, recurving back into the Gulf--00Z had landfall near NEW, 06Z had landfall near PAM, and the 12Z near MOB..........stay tuned.
Well, what can we say about Fay? She has certainly been an interesting storm. Right now, she is churning up the waters off of Cape Canaveral and contemplating her next move. Will it be a continued drift to the North, or will she jog W seeking the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico??? How far W will the blocking high push Fay before she makes a turn to the NE and a date with the trough digging across the country? Will MS get in on any of the action with Fay? She seems to have been an equal opportunity storm up until this point. Wait and see, wait and see. Bill may get his Appalachicola landfall yet. Other weather folks are suffering blog fatigue from this storm.
What do the Wx Studs have to say?? Any comments out there?
Well, what really can be said about Fay. She is quite the rainmaker and personally I wouldn't mind her making her way to provide a little moisture to south Mississippi. Maybe not 2 feet worth but a little. I think the high pressure will dig in and push Fay west, however, I think it will get a little more over the water rather than an all land westward movement. It could be interesting.
