Oh, oh. Mr Kotter, Mr Kotter. Pick me, pick me. The answer is D with the caveat that it has a high probability of Tropical Depression formation at any time. BTW, this probability is up from Med this morning, and non-existent yesterday, Medium the day before, and High the day before that.
Don't you think it would be wise to issue a Tropical Storm Watch given the fact that the SST's are high, shear is slakening, the relatively close proximity to the US, and the fact that the weekend is fast approaching? How much do you want to wager that they will be issuing TS Warnings tomorrow by this time? Nothing to see here, keep moving please, nothing to see.

Quote of the morning:

"AN AIR
FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT IS SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE
THIS SYSTEM LATER TODAY...IF NECESSARY."

I wonder what it takes to make an investigation necessary? Maybe a strong tropical system in the area? Nah....

Oh, forgot to add - look at the latest GFS run. Sent chills up my spine because it looked like a Katrina path - through Florida and into the Gulf - and then possibly into the central Gulf.

Uh - well i meant to leave a link to Katrina's path which I might add is not the complete story as Katrina formed and then died and reformed by the bahamas. This link only illustrates the second coming of Katrina.
